MAPAC Press Release on Recent Arrests E-mail

The Muslim American Public Affairs Council were shocked to learn that seven men were arrested in North Carolina on Tuesday July 27th on charges related to attempting to engage in violence in foreign countries. MAPAC asks for people to remain calm and urge the media to respect the 14th Amendment rights of these individuals and not jump to conclusions before these men have been given a fair trial.

 

MAPAC reitierates  its continued condemnation of all forms of terrorism and violence.

Defying some of his fellow conservative Christian critics, one of the most prominent religious leaders in the country told several thousand American Muslims on Saturday that "the two largest faiths on the planet" must work together to combat stereotypes and solve global problems.
